Grey is not always Gloomy

Grey is really popular this season. However, I've always been a fan of grey being an alternative for black. Grey is the perfect neutral and goes really well with bright colors such as yellow, blue and red. A grey dress can be worn with a bright-colored pair of shoes and handbag. While a grey pair of shoes and handbag can be equally as fabulous with a bright-colored dress or ruffle shirt and tailored pants.

These are just a sample of some of the fantastic grey items currently available online. Go ahead and check them out and let those black items in your closet get a rest for a change.

Hayden and Dooney...the Perfect Pair

For those of you who are like me, I have not been a huge fan of Dooney & Bourke for some time now. It is true that the quality of leather is impeccable. However, the non-leather styles like the signature collection and the "It" bags left much to be desired. The direction of the line became more geared toward teenagers and trend-followers instead of trendsetters.

Now, fast forward to today where the latest selection of handbags (ie: the Hayden bag) is bringing new life to the brand - and we have Hayden Panettiere to thank for that. My new favorite is the Hayden clutch. It is crafted of supple Italian calfskin and will instantly update your wardrobe. The style is timeless and will carry you through many years unlike the dated signature handbags. The bag is available in several colors like fuschia and purple. But there is something very bold and alluring about the blue one. It is perfect for the fashionista who adores classic yet funky items that transcend the trends. To purchase, visit Dooney.com and enjoy!

Poll Results: Who Would You Buy?

My latest poll asked the following question:

"If you had the allowance to buy one pair of high-end shoes, who would you buy?"

Based on the results, it appears that one-third of you would purchase one of my favorite shoe designers, Manolo Blahnik. Meanwhile, there is another one-third that would rather spend the money on mid-priced shoes to get more bang for the buck. After much contemplation, I think I would agree with the latter group. I am a firm believer that quality is indeed more important than quantity but the bargain shopper in me would want to spend the money on multiple pairs of shoes. Therefore, my conclusion is that regardless of how you voted, you made a wise decision. :)

Now, for the poll results...

Manolo Blahnik - 33%
Christian Louboutin - 16%
Jimmy Choo - 0%
Giuseppe Zanotti - 0%
Other - 16%
Spend on multiple mid-priced shoes - 33%

And for those of you that chose 'Other', I'm curious to know for which designer you'd rather empty your bank account. So, feel free to leave a comment to represent your favorite high-end shoe designer.
