I love vintage especially jewelry... While I have many pieces my two Fav are a beautiful 1902 pendant and a fab pair of 1952 diamond and ruby earrings. The earrings are great because full cut diamonds circle the ruby.. The craftmanship is wonderful.. It's hard to get small full cut diamonds these days everything is pave... rae@raelewisthornton.com I have always wanted to attend the show and could never find the time this would be a perfect weekend
One of my favorthin vintage finds is a knee length jacket that I believe is from th 60s. It's handmade black and white with a zebra-ish pattern. I wear it with dresses and jeans. I always feel put together in it and I always receive compliments when I wear it.
Oooh yes please :) my favorite vintage piece is my mom's rabbit fur jacket. It was a gift to her from my dad before they were even married. I treasure it!!
I like vintage jewlery as well as hand bags and coats. You can't go wrong with classic accessories.
I love vintage pieces. Such a classic look. I have two vintage pieces that I love. One is a scarf from my great grandmother's closet. The other is a piece of jewelry (watch) gifted to me by my husband. It belonged to his grandmother.
Oooh! I want to go! So, here goes...I'm a fan of vintage jewelry because it screams 'classic'! An oxymoron, of course because classic pieces don't scream. They have a subtle, unassuming way that of commanding attention. About 2 or 3 years ago, I was in a resale shop in Mount Prospect (sorry, the name escapes me), and I saw the most beautiful cameo set in marcasite and silver there ever was. I estimate it was from the 1940's, simple, but so refined. Could be worn as a pendant or a brooch. I didn't get it that day but I've been kicking myself since. It would be a fantastic accessory that would never go out of style.
Yeah....^^ That's me.

It used to be my big vintage 7 drawer desk with a glass top (unfortunately, the glass was broken during a move). Now it's my vintage gumball machine....I am on the hunt for a vintage gumball stand!
I lovee these colorful pumps that I found at a Chicago vintage store in Wicker Park- got them for 20 bucks. They are NOT floral, which is often a flaw of most colorful shoes. They are bright, beautiful, and perfect to perk me up as I continue my first year of teaching. =)
