Fleathers by Lynda Smith

A couple of months ago, I discovered Etsy. It is an online market for all things handmade. I have since fallen head-over-heels in love with the website and will be occasionally showcasing my findings on this blog.

That being said, my first Etsy-related blog is dedicated to Fleathers. Lynda Smith has been creating jewelry for over 10 years and her collection, Fleathers, was developed 5 years ago. Her unique use of leather is phenomenal and her color schemes are fabulously bold. The hoop earrings are my personal favorite. There is no need for any other piece of jewelry when you're wearing these beauties. And at a price range of $35 to $40, I can afford to buy every color scheme my little heart desires!

Check out her shop on Etsy and pick up some conversation pieces.

You'll thank me later...

For The Bag Lady Within

I am truly a fanatic for large handbags and the 'New Survivor' by Cynthia Rowley is the mother of all oversized bags! In the black patent, it is both functional and trendy. It retails for $595. That being said, it is not necessarily for the budget fashionistas. But for those with an extra $600 lying around, this a good way to make it useful.

And for those of you that don't know, Cynthia Rowley is a Chi-town gal also. So, feel free to check out her boutique and support one of your own. Her locations are as follows:

808 W. Armitage
Chicago, IL 60614

1653 N. Damen
Chicago, IL 60647

Shhhhh....

I recently saw this bag at a certain store in Wheaton (begins with 't', ends in 'x') for half the retail price. My fellow bargain shoppers, see if you can get your hand on this beauty!
